Closing Costs & Taxes The taxes associated with the lot are: 5% GST on the lot price (Goods & Services Tax) PTT (Property Transfer Tax) 1% on the first $200,000 and 2% on the remaining balance. The province of British Columbia will be introducing an amalgamated tax with the GST called the HST (Harmonized Sales Tax), which will then increase to 12% of the plot price.
